70 Round Tablecloth

A 70 round tablecloth can enhance any room, not just the dining room.

In the past few years, 70 round tablecloths have been used not only for creating the right effect when hosting guests at the dinner table, but also for disguising the ever growing list of cheap but convenient flat pack tables that are useful in any room, but unsightly if not covered.

There are simply thousands of 70 round tablecloth styles out there, but choosing the color or pattern is secondary to choosing the type of fabric your 70 round tablecloth needs to be made from.

Probably the most popular type of fabric is a cotton polyester mix. This is because polyester is strong and stain resistant, but has a cold and plastic feel to it. Cotton is the reverse, being a natural fibre it feels great, but has little stain resistance at all, and even with modern washing powders, cleaning can be difficult, particularly for things like red wine. A combination of the two however, gives you a 70 round table cloth that feels good and is easy to look after.

Similar to a cotton 70 round tablecloth is an Irish linen cloth. This is often a thick and heavy type of tablecloth, usually in plain white with an embroidered pattern, synonymous with old world charm. This is an extremely elegant 70 round tablecloth, and would please most people looking for a more traditional round table cloth. However, like pure cotton, it is prone to staining.

Some of the more exotic fabrics for your 70 round tablecloth include Damask, an ancient fabric once made exclusively of silk with any pattern woven into it, giving it a raised appearance. These are often quite striking and luxurious, but beware spills and stains! This is not the type of 70 round tablecloth you want to leave out – keep it for special occasions.

Something a little different is an oil cloth table cloth. These have a pleasing and interesting texture and are suitable in a number of areas which make them more versatile than certain other types of 70 round tablecloth.

For example, you may have a valuable dining table that has a polished surface that needs protecting. A thick 70 round oil cloth table cloth can be used here as it is often thick enough to avoid marks from spilt drinks or general wear and tear that a dining table is subjected to.
A 70 round tablecloth made from this type of fabric is also perfect for outdoors. It offers a “friendly” surface to plastic patio tables that may have lost their smooth finish over the years, or wooden tables (inside or out) that have cracked or pitted tops to them.

A 70 round tablecloth made from oilcloth is also extremely user friendly – most spillages can simply be wiped clean, and they come in a range of colors and patterns.

However, any of the above types of 70 round tablecloth will be worthy of your examination.
